About Us
The University of Leicester Law Review (LSLR) was established nine years ago as a collection of legal research essays written by students, for students, as a way to broaden their engagement with legal academia. In past years, this compilation of student essays was published as one annual issue, which has since been expanded to a two-volume format. In 2024/2025, we aim to continue the tradition of physical publication while also addressing important legal topics through our "Let's Review!" podcast.
We warmly invite law students from the University of Leicester to submit their legal-academic essays during the submission period from November 2024 to January 2025. Selected essays will be featured in our upcoming volumes, offering students the opportunity to contribute to the legal discourse and enhance their academic portfolios.
Editors' Note
Welcome to the University of Leicester Law Review!
As the new Editor-in-Chief, my vision for the Law Review is to create a platform where students can not only engage deeply with legal academia but also find a space to express their unique perspectives and challenge the boundaries of conventional thinking.
This year, we aim to expand our reach with exciting new projects, thought-provoking discussions, and collaborative opportunities for every student.
Whether you aspire to see your work in print, hone your editorial skills, contribute as a podcast researcher, or join our dynamic committee, there’s a place for you here.
I encourage everyone who is eager to contribute to the evolving world of legal scholarship to get involved and contact us for more information.
